Well...it's a look, that's for sure.
Right now there are several blank areas at the ends of rows because they'll be filled with the cut-off segments from other rows. There'll be rearranging of fabrics and sig squares, but I'm happy with the concept. On the whole, I think the idea is sound.
I can see my sig squares from all the way over here. I was going to suggest putting a thin band - the Sairey strip - in between each row but to be honest I have no idea what I would use as a contrast.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking I might use your idea--no matter how often I add it up (and I did the maths plenty before cutting!), it's still looking skimpy top to bottom. A 1/4" Sairey strip (white--or possibly a very light gray--seems to work) would add 3", some stability, and a little breathing room when I go to baste everything together.
