Clothing

"Crystal Hologram" tops

Bespoke tops (costume maker for local theater) made from Spandex World 17278 "Shattered Glass Holograms (Purple/Fuchsia)", her patterns and my construction notes included for sizes S, M, L, XL, 1X, 2X.

38 tops (4 prototypes included {S, M, L, XL}--no tweaks to original pattern):

Fabric for more tops included: 31 yards (58" wide) of "crystal hologram" fabric, 2 yards (58" wide) of black lining (for neck facing).

This fabric is very easy to sew, and is very forgiving of mistakes. I had to remove a piece sewn in the wrong place and no trace of the original seam remained. No special threads or machinery needed--I constructed them on my domestic sewing machine with "normal" sewing thread.

Made from discontinued JoAnn Fabrics "Night Sky" fabric, using Simplicity pattern 3894:

33 tops available in lengths from eXtra Short to Long (R=pattern length +/-1"). If more than one in size listed, actual count in parentheses: 6S, 6R, 8L, 10R (3), 10L, 12R, 12L (4), 14R (2), 14L (4), 18S (2), 18R, 18L, 20S (2), 20R (4), 20L, 24XS, 24S, 24R, 26S.

"Microdot" tops

Made from SY Fabrics "Confetti Dot Sequins" fabrics in Turquoise, Fuchsia, and Purple. Based on Simplicity pattern 3894:

26 tops, size followed by color (T, F, or P) and amount if more than one: 10R (Tx2), 10L (F, P), 12S (P), 12L (Fx2, P), 14R (Fx2, Px2, T), 14L (Fx2, Px2), 18S (T), 18R (F), 20S (P, T), 26S (T, F, P), 28S (T), 28R (P).
