It's a weird juxtaposition when your brain tells you the Christmas projects--and therefore Christmas itself--are done, yet Hallowe'en hasn't yet arrived!
In my last post I'd listed the projects I'd hoped to get finished and donated at the final (for this calendar year) meeting of Community First! Quilters in October:
Bunny didn't make it (he's still 'living' with me, with hopes of more relatives in the next 12 months) but everything else did!
I described the garlands pretty thoroughly last time. This post will be about the wallhanging. The Advent calendar will have its own post later.
This was a decades-old piece found in a POUT drawer that has finally been fleshed out, sandwiched, quilted, bound, labeled, sleeved, and DONE!

I mainly followed edges to quilt this on my dsm Brother Quilt Club 1300, using a walking foot.
I made sure the ribbon quilting went over or under at the three intersections, as pie lattice would do.
A simple stipple filled the corners, traveling along the sides to get to each. It's easier seen on the label attached to the back. Because the Brother's FMQ foot discorporated just before I finished the garland pieces, I moved to my Juki mid-arm for this portion.
The supporting cast. The olive green was used in the bobbins as well as the green stars on the top. The variegated/maroon red was used for the stipple.
It's always SO satisfying finishing up a piece like this, because its size makes it a fast completion, and its age makes it mature enough to survive in the wild on its own. Fly free, and spark joy in someone else's home!
