Kicking up my feet after a walk to the grocery store. It's a new one and it takes me less than an hour to walk there, shop, then walk back, all on paved surfaces if I choose to use them (there are alternative routes). The Loud has started accompanying me, making it a bit slower but the companionship is nice. He brings his own backpack and between the two of us we can get quite a few groceries schlepped home on our backs!
I finished the final Woven Log Cabin block yesterday, then hauled out and erected the big ladder so I could get up to the ceiling and finally adjust the roller spring on my second design wall, so it will roll all the way up. With that done, I can put an entire twin-sized-worth of blocks in one area.

Granted, it doesn't guarantee I can do it correctly. With my face right up at the wall, I miss details like that. The camera is a great tool for catching things!
Having corrected it, now I'll spend time staring at my computer screen to see if anything screams "I can't accept that!" at me, color-wise . . .
Speaking (further) of staring, the coördinator of the gift wall hanging brought the finished blocks home with her and rapidly sent an email to the participants, saying she couldn't stop staring at how beautiful they all were:
The center rectangle will be an embroidered piece. I'll post a picture of the finished product after we present it to the shop owner in April.
Uphill with groceries is always harder than I think it will be. Just one more tin of tomatoes...
ReplyDeleteWalking for your groceries . . . like singing for your supper? (You can do that, too.) I've never seen that block design before. It's great!
