A Finish

48"x71"

The Indian Spiderweb is complete! The back is constructed from two reds, white, and light blue flannel pieces.

I ended up using a variation of Leah Day's Leaf Veins in the stars, always reminding myself to point them down toward the middle, not up toward the point. It was so easy to get the direction going the wrong way, otherwise! (This quilting dyslexia is probably why I have such trouble with feathers.)
The borders were a combination of my favorite rolling wave for the dark Indian fabric, and lazy back-and-forths for the neutral triangles.
All the stitches:

Normally for donation quilts I sew the binding to the back and machine stitch it down on the front. This time, however, it was easier to 'disappear' the stitching by sewing the binding to the front and finishing it from the back, using black in the bobbin. Having the binding match the border was a great help as well.
